Objective: This study aimed to investigate the role of strategic leadership in improving organizational performance of employees in power industry of Isfahan province. The research method is applied and descriptive - correlation. The statistical population consisted of 420 employees of power industry of Isfahan province. The sample size was calculated as 120 subjects using Cochran formula and simple random sampling. Research tools included a questionnaire of strategic leadership by Heath et al. (1995) and organizational performance by Achieve. The reliability of tools was obtained through Cronbach’s Alpha for strategic leadership as .89 and for organizational performance as .83, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson gestalt correlation tests and stepwise regression. The results showed that there is a significant positive between strategic leadership, its components and organizational performance. Among strategic leadership components, four components of strategic direction, human resource development, effective corporate culture and strategic controls had the prediction ability of organizational performance dimensions.
