The purpose of the research is developed a model for knowledge management on organizational commitment and self-efficacy of faculty members of Islamic Azad University ( District 8 ). The research method is descriptive and applied in terms of objective. The statistical population consists of all 5922 faculty members in District 8 of Islamic Azad University situated in cities of Tehran province in 2014. The sampling method has stratified random sampling and the sample size is obtained equal to 360 through Kerjcie and Morgan Tables; and collected data using standardized questionnaires,Sherwin,L,knowledge management (2003) and Meyer and Allen's organizational commitment (1990), and Shavaran, self-efficacy (2011), was conducted . Validity was, content validity and reliability of the questionnaire respectively, the Cronbach's alpha for knowledge management, 94%, organizational commitment 87%, and Self-efficacy 81% was calculated.The obtained results of multivariate linear regression tests indicate that 1-there is a significant relationship between the organizational commitment and self- efficacy with the knowledge management.2- there is a significant relationship between the three dimensions (personal competence, social competence, merit study) of four dimensions of self-efficacy of faculty members with the knowledge management and only in teaching competence no significant relationship was foun. 3-there is a significant relationship between the two dimensions (continuance commitment, normative commitment) of the three dimensions of organizational commitment with the knowledge management and only there was a significant negative correlation between affective commitment with knowledge management. Accordingly, a model for knowledge management based on organizational commitment and self-efficacy of faculty members presenting.
